  26. \b Why Sced?\
  27. \b0\fs20 Once upon a time in the Workspace... I inserted a floppy and it was a DOS thing.  All suffixes only three characters long, but some modern applications (let's name Frame)  would like to see more. DoubleKlick on something like Foo.fm did not start Frame...\
  28. I wrote Sced to suggest the Workspace Manager to open instead of Edit some better suited app. Sced is very very simple. Sced is totaly static, you have to compile Sced for other suffix-to-app mappings.\

  30. \b0\fs20 Sced is static. Some guru may add code for dynamic mapping. See the code for some comments about the code and how to improve the code. Even better: Someone should tell me how to implement a default application for unknown files-types. It would be possible to add some kind of file-type-check-function to avoid this stupid take-a-look-at-the-extension.\
  31. The version 1.2 covers some ideas from Bruce Gingery, especialy the handling of links with the proper extension to the original document files.\

  39. \b0\fs20 Sced.app needs to stay in /NextApps or /LocalApps or ~/Apps. Otherwise Sced will not work. After installation you have to logout/login or to press cmd-u from the WorkspaceManager.\
